Prenzlau/Potsdam, April 17, 2018. Attorney Christian Graf Brockdorff from BBL Bernsau Brockdorff Insolvenz- und Zwangsverwalter GbR, a law firm specialized in reorganization and insolvency, was appointed as preliminary insolvency administrator of Prenzlauer Baubedarf GmbH by the District Court of Neuruppin (ref.: 15 IN 82/18).
According to the managing director of Prenzlauer Baubedarf GmbH, Mr. Lutz Bertholt, the reason for the preliminary insolvency is the intensified competitive situation and the enormous price war in the industry. In addition to other hardware stores, discounters and online trading would be very competitive.
The declared aim of the process is not to disrupt operations, but to continue the company. The overall situation of the company is currently being examined in order to find solutions for its possible preservation.
Prenzlauer Baubedarf has been offering commercial and private customers the entire range of products from the fields of building construction, civil engineering, dry construction, gardening and landscaping in addition to specialist advice since 1992. It currently employs 15 people.
