At the same time of this order to open preliminary debtor-in-possession-proceedings, the previous managing director was dismissed and business sector expert Dr. Thomas Dückers has been appointed as the new managing director of both companies. In addition, Dr. Alexander Hoepfner of BBL Bernsau Brockdorff & Partner Rechtsanwälte PartGmbB was appointed as chief representative in order to support the management of the company in all aspects of insolvency law within the scope of its debtor-in-possession-proceedings. The local district court has also appointed the Hanover-based lawyer and restructuring expert Manuel Sack from the law firm Brinkmann & Partner, which is active throughout Germany, as preliminary custodian of both companies. The management is thus fully capable of acting.
The company’s business operations will continue to operate in full. Wages and salaries for the months of March to May 2018 will be paid out via a pre-financing of insolvency money. The workforce was comprehensively informed at a staff meeting on 13 March 2018.
The management and the preliminary custodian will immediately initiate an investor process to strengthen Peiner Umformtechnik GmbH with its 260 employees for the future.
