Kirchheim/Teck, 24 August 2018. Blitz S18-209 GmbH, a subsidiary of the Austrian Eberspaecher Tageslichttechnik GmbH registered in Au am Leithaberge is taking over the assets of the insolvent Eberspaecher Glasbau GmbH based in Kirchheim/Teck as of the 1st of October 2018. Relevant contracts have been signed by insolvency administrator Marcus Winkler and Blitz S18-209 GmbH company representatives.
In the course of a transferred restructuring the fixed and current assets, including the company real estate, are transferred to the purchasing party. The take over is still subject to approval by the board. Both parties agreed not to disclose information on the purchasing price and economic conditions.
Through the sale Marcus Winkler managed to secure the site in Kirchheim/Teck as well as the approximately 30 remaining jobs. Restructuring expert Mr. Winkler says: „We are happy to have found an industry experienced buyer who can provide a new perspective to the workforce.“ Since filing for insolvency, the company’s operations have continued uninterrupted under Mr. Winkler’s leadership.
The buyer stated that it wants to utilize synergies and continue business operations. „We are happy that we have the opportunity to lead EGLA and its experienced workforce into a bright future. Our clients will be able to access broader and improved product and service offerings“, states engineer Harald Weiskirchner, managing director of Blitz S18-209 GmbH.
The employees have been informed about the steps ahead. The international investor process was lead by Falkensteg GmbH based in Frankfurt am Main.
The managing directors of Eberspaecher Glasbau GmbH filed for insolvency at the district court in Esslingen in March 2018. On 1 June 2018 the court appointed attorney Marcus Winkler from BBL as insolvency administrator. BBL is a law firm with offices nationwide. Prior to this appointment he was the preliminary insolvency administrator of the company.
